So, you want the best side jobs from home so you can ditch the 9 to 5 slowly but surely? I’ve got a list for you to choose from. You should probably save this article because it will keep growing as I scour the deepest of the web to find them for you.

Are you feeling burnt out from your repetitive and robotic day job? Do you feel unfulfilled because you’re not doing what you really want to do? Are you stuck in the rut of the so-called 9 to 5 Rat Race? I feel you. That’s why I wrote this article — to give you the best ways to make money online while keeping your day job (to be safe).

Just a heads up: it’s easy ways, not lazy ways. You still have to put in the effort to make money. You can’t just reap what you don’t sow, okay?

Also, when I say making money, I do not mean literally cash. It can be getting free goods and the likes. Lastly, this will not make you rich in 30 days, or at all.

Start A Blog. Easy, right? But how do you make money off of a blog? For those who are entirely new to blogging, one way you can do it is through affiliate marketing (commission by referral).

Start An Online Store. Whether you want to start with little to no money, you can quickly start selling products online by starting an e-commerce store. You can try dropshipping if you have little funds or (if you’re feeling bold) you can create your own brand if you have enough money to spare.

I started selling on eBay back when I was a teenager through dropshipping and I really enjoyed it. Seeing PayPal notifications on my phone made me feel like I was in a lucid dream. I couldn’t believe my eyes when payments started rolling in. I was in heaven.

If you want more specificity, Print-On-Demand (POD) may be the option for you. Again, another good way to start with very little cash investment. All you have to do is create designs and use those designs to print on merchandise such as t-shirts, socks, mugs, etc. Some companies that I love to work with are: Printful, Zazzle, and Etsy.

Write An Ebook. If you like to write, perhaps an ebook might be a good fit. Ideally, you want to sell a solution to a pain point under the Big 3 categories — money, relationships, and health. Then, choose your publishing platforms such as Amazon Kindle, your own store, or a marketplace like Gumroad.

Become A Freelancer/Contractor. If you’re skilled at something (e.g. graphic design), why not make money out of it? You can offer your services/gigs through Craigslist, Fiverr, or UpWork.

Sell Used Stuff. Go around your house and sell unwanted or unused stuff that other people might find interesting or useful. You’ll be surprised at what you think is trash that others want or need. You can use Poshmark, OfferUp, or Craigslist to post your hand-me-downs.

Join Survey Companies. Aside from the common survey companies such as Swagbucks and Branded Surveys.

Become A Product Tester. As a product tester, you get free products or goods in exchange for honest reviews. However, there are other websites that pretty much give out free products without the need to give reviews. Two of these websites are RebateKey and Rebaid.

If you are US-based, you likely have experienced an increase in the cost of living such as food and gas. Saving as much as you can even in the tiniest amounts means a lot especially if you’ve got mouths to feed. I hope that this list helped you out a bit in your search for ways on how to save money in 2025.
